THIS WEEK’S MEMORY VERSE
““Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
Ephesians 4:29 – 30
SCRIPTURE – Read Acts 3
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
The only good thing about sin is that it can be forgiven. The Lord has given us the wonderful opportunity to be refreshed in our weaknesses. Those times we fail and fall into temptation, He is right there, willing to forgive and pick us up. When we ask for forgiveness, the Lord is always faithful to show us mercy and grace and forgive us of our unrighteous acts against Him. He demonstrates His love and gives us a time of refreshing. He pours purpose into our hearts and gives us the strength to act with boldness and carry out that purpose. What a wonderful Savior and mighty God we serve!
When we sin, and we will, the conviction from the Holy Spirit that lives within drives us to repent. We must run to the Lord. His desire is to have an intimate relationship with us.
Wow! The Almighty Creator of the Universe wants a relationship with you! Just had to say that again. Our sin will blind us for a time, but if we are His, He will call out to us and we must listen. Falling to our knees and asking for forgiveness is a must if we want to stay close to the One who holds us so tenderly in our times of distress. Praise Him! Ask for forgiveness. Talk with Him. Tell Him your desires. He is listening.
Help me to choose Jesus. Thank You for being so willing to forgive me when I fail You. Please continue to show me how I can be better for You. As I seek Your face, let me understand the freedom that comes from doing what is right and living in truth. Please give me a time of refreshing that can only come from Your Spirit. Continue to mold me into what You need me to be for Your kingdom.
I love You, Father. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
