Have You Experienced Life Change?
Searching. We’re all searching for something. In America we talk about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but so often our pursuit of happiness ends in a life that feels bound on every side by one road block after another.
Where is the hope? Certainly there is more to this life than meets the eye.
The Bible teaches us that God placed you here for a reason. Your life has purpose and meaning. His desire for you is only good and His love for you is deep. Do you have hard questions about life, the universe and everything? God has answers and He wants to share them with you. He wants you to experience your best life now!
But how can this happen for me?
It’s about FAITH. Faith is not blind trust in something that makes no sense. Faith has substance. It is the evidence, the living proof of what Jesus Christ has done for you. Here’s how it works.
F - is for FORGIVENESS
You cannot have eternal life and heaven without God’s forgiveness.
The Bible says, “In Him [meaning Jesus] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Ephesians 1:7a
A - is for AVAILABLE
Forgiveness is available. It is – Available for All.
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
It is available for all – But not Automatic.
The Bible says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 7:21a
I - is for IMPOSSIBLE
It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.
God is LOVE, remember John 3:16?
God is also JUST. The Bible says, “For judgment is without mercy.” James 2:13
Man is Sinful
The Bible says, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
So here’s the question: How can a sinful person enter heaven, where God allows no sin?
That where we come to ‘T’.
T - is for TURN
If you’re driving down the road and someone asked you turn, what would they be asking you to do? They’re asking you to change direction.
Turn means repent.
We must TURN from something – from sin and self.
The Bible says, “Unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3b
We must TURN from something and TURN to someone. We must TRUST CHRIST ONLY.
The Bible tells us that, “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” I Corinthians 15:3 – 4
The Bible also tells us that, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
H - is for HEAVEN
Heaven is eternal life.
HERE
The Bible says, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
HERE and HEREAFTER
The Bible says, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:3
SO HOW – can a person have God’s forgiveness, heaven, eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord?
