Inviting Atmosphere
When you come to First Baptist Owasso we want your experience here to be fun and Christ-centered. You’ll find the people here are relaxed and friendly. On any given Sunday morning you’ll find some people dressed casually wearing something like jeans and t-shirts while others will dress more formally wearing a suit and tie. You’ll find these people sitting right next to one another and no one will think a thing of it. So come as you are and get to know the people around you. We’re looking forward to getting to know you.
Exciting Music
During our services the music is dynamic and always has a message. Whether we’re singing the old hymns of the faith or learning something new our music is designed to focus our hearts on God and to celebrate the wonders of His grace. We like a variety of styles of music so you may hear something very traditional, something a little country or something a little more rock and roll. The style we sing on any given song is not nearly as important as the message that song carries.
Relevant Teaching
We use words like, ‘Biblical, intentional, relevant, inspiring, & challenging’ to describe the messages at First Baptist. We enjoy creativity and using as many different communication tools as God has given us, so drama and video are used regularly to illustrate the message. We want people to walk away from these services having had an experience with God. We hope the words we say and the methods we use to communicate will connect you with God and with His people in a way that is meaningful. The gospel is clearly shared during every service, so we encourage you to bring someone with you who is searching for answers to life’s tough questions.
Lasting Friendships
Through our small group Sunday School you can connect with people whose interests and background is similar to yours. Together you will study God’s Word and discover how it applies to everyday life. These groups do more than Bible study. They spend time together with regular class parties. Sunday School is a place to develop lasting friendships.
For Your Kids
Whether your children are very young or nearly graduated there’s a place for them here that is fun and focused on the unique needs of their age. Our Preschool and Children’s Ministries are clean, safe, fun places for kids to discover more about God and to build friendships that could last a lifetime. In our Student Ministry students learn what it means to lead and to serve as they discover more about themselves and as they make new friends.
