We were able to go out on Saturday and complete a home for a single mom with 2 boys. We also started a home for one of the Haitians who have been helping out at the Oklahoma House. We also saw 16 come to Jesus today. The grand total on salvations as of Saturday night is 39.
The project count now is 2 houses complete, 2 additional roofs complete, 2 wells complete 1 house started and 4 wells started.
Sunday we will be going to a small Haitian church, Ken Gazaway is preaching.
We are all currently scheduled to fly out on Tuesday morning and be in Tulsa at 6:25pm

Owasso – Mission Haiti – UPDATE

From Rob Rizzo…
We are all doing well here. We were confined, for the most part, to our compound today. Ken Gazaway was still able to lead 8 to Christ today.
We found out a little while ago that our departure has been delayed from Sunday to Tuesday. This is very promising. Since we were not able to leave our compound the past two days we may now be able to finish 3 houses and several wells. Currently we should arrive in Tulsa around 6pm Tuesday night.

This is from Rob Rizzo – a member of the Mission Haiti Team…
Thursday Morning
We are all well here. We are confined to the compound again today. Pastor Libia and Pastor Zies says it is not good for us to go out. They appreciate all we are doing but would rather us be able to come back and do more good then to sacrifice our lives for 3 houses. Many Hatians are upset about the elections. We also hear the airport is closed again today.
We respect the pastors although we have a heavy heart because we want to go out. We will work around the compound doing maintenance, repair a well across the street and may build pews for the church down the street.
It is our goal to complete 3 additional homes before we leave on Sunday. God may have other plans. He is in control and is not surprised by these events.
Continue to pray that they would be bold in sharing the gospel and that God would protect and provide for them.
“Whatever happens conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will now that you stand firm in the on Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved – and that by God. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.” – Philippians 1:27-30 (NIV2010)
Water is Life

Did you know 6500 people die a day from water born diseases? This Christmas give the gift of life—clean water. We have adopted Haiti and are receiving donations for Water Straws. Each Water Straw provides one person clean water for one year. For more information visit http://www.waterislife.com.
Donate through First Baptist Owasso as an individual, a family or as a Sunday School class. This December a team from FBCO will deliver the Water Straws to Haiti as they spread the gospel and provide other humanitarian assistance.
