Our Mission

The goal of the Christian Arts Ministry is worship. Our desire is to teach Believers to delight the heart of the Father with every area of our lives, passionately expressing our love for God through the use of every talent and resource He’s given us for His glory and His pleasure.

Our Verse

Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”

Our Method

The Christian Arts Ministry is made up of 3 unique teams that work together to accomplish our mission. Each team compliments the others and together we support all the ministries of First Baptist Owasso. During our worship services the 3 teams of the Christian Arts Ministry function on the Front Lines – as lead Worshippers, communicating the truth of the gospel through music, drama, and the technical arts. Throughout the week we keep the church connected using the FBCO website; LifePoints, our broadcast ministry; and other publications.

Three Teams

Music
Members of this team are responsible for singing and playing instruments as we lead in worship or during special events. Its members include the Celebration Choir, Praise Band, Vocal Praise Teams, Instrumental Ensemble, KICK & PreKICK Preschool and Children’s Choirs, soloists and ensembles.

Communications
Members of this team include anyone who writes, directs, or acts in dramatic presentations. This includes LifePoints, our broadcast ministry, as well as our church wide publications and the web site. Members of this team assist with stage management during our services and stage craft when sets need to be built.

Technology
Members of this team are responsible for technology throughout the church. From audio, lighting and video systems to the computer IT systems found in the offices or elsewhere around the building, whereever a gadget or gizmo is found, members of this team are there to make certain it operates smoothly and without distraction!
